Verse 1 Let the Church find rest in Christ when we cannot compare to all the pomp and circumstance that echoes in this world. Let your glory shine in lives of true humility. We hold onto your promise: your grace is all we need. Verse 2 Let the church find rest in Christ when those who boast proclaim a gospel other than the one that glorifies your name. May your fame resound in prayer, in service left unseen.  We hold onto your promise: your grace is all we need. Verse 3 Let the church find rest in Christ, whatever life may bring. Our weakness sends us to the cross, the power of our King. Others hope in human strength to earn their victory. We hold onto your promise: your grace is all we need.
2.
Praise ye the Lord: with all my heart I will God's praise declare, In the company of the just with all assembled there. His hands' works all are truth and right; All his commands are sure: And, done in truth and uprightness They evermore endure. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow Praise God, all creatures here below Praise God, above all heavenly hosts Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost The Lord provideth food for all Who truly do him fear; And evermore his covenant He in his mind will bear. He to his chosen people sent Redemption by his pow'r; His covenant he did command To be forevermore. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow Praise God, all creatures here below Praise God, above all heavenly hosts Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost His name alone most holy is In fear to be adored. Of wisdom the beginning is To truly fear the Lord. (words adapted from The Psalter of the United Presbyterian Church of North America, 1887 ed and Doxology)

Refrain
Do not fret because of the wicked Do not be envious of those who do wrong For they will soon fade like grass and be counted among the loss Verse 1 Trust in the Lord and do good so you will live in the land and enjoy His peace Take delight in the Lord and he will give the desires of your heart, the desires for what you need Yet a little while…(refrain) Verse 2 Commit your way to the Lord and he will act and you will not fall He will make your freedom shine like the light He will not forsake his faithful ones Yet a little while…(refrain) Verse 3 Be still before the Lord, and wait Refrain from anger, put away your wrath For blessed are you who make peace and the meek will inherit the land Yet a little while Yet a little while…(refrain)
4.
You are not a god who delivers me from evil (in the sense you never let it come my way). The Holy God who had part the seas, had drowned the Pharaoh's armies, still allows me to get hurt along the way. If I could create a god, I'd never let him let me feel pain. You are not a god who is all loving (in the sense that you're okay with whatever I do). It took a while to understand: there is a way, there is a plan, and you'll guide me through the lies till I find Truth. But if I could create a god, I'd never let him tell me what to do. Refrain If I could create a god that I could understand, it would not be you. It'd be less complicated, at least a little nicer, a little open minded or at least a little more like me and a little less god. You are not a god who lays down the law (in the sense that you expect constant perfection). I fall into my vice, and when I finally get back up again, you bring me correction with affection. But if I could create a god, I'd never let him say I had one imperfection. (Refrain) Refrain 2 If I could create a god that I could understand, it would not be you. It'd be less complicated, at least a little nicer, a little open minded or at least a little more like me. But I can't create you, God, and I don't understand everything you are, but I know enough to know that you're a little more loving, a little more understanding, a little more involved than is comfortable sometimes. You're a little more patient, a little more forgiving when I try to make a god like me and see: I need a little more God.

You, o Lord have power to heal and you will quickly aid;  For you, our Savior, deeply feel the stripes upon us laid -  You who were wounded by the rod, uplifted in the hand of God  You, O Lord, have power to heal and you will quickly aid  Quickly send your help, we pray, to him who ailing lies,  That from his place of illness may with thankful heart arise  Through prayers which all availing find Your ear, O lover of mankind  You, O Lord, have power to heal and you will quickly aid  Blinded are our weary eyes and all are held in night;  but like the blind who daily cries, we cry to You for light  In penitence, O Christ we pray, give us the radiant light of day  You, O Lord, have power to heal and you will quickly aid  You, O Lord, have power to heal and you will quickly aid

They say that I inspire, that I’m a blessing Yet their praise puts me to shame For how can healing words come from unholy lips? How can the blind and the dumb lead the lame? But maybe there is more to this maybe this is more than me How can you still use me After I’ve allowed myself to be used by everyone else? How can you still choose me When I made the choice to ignore the still small voice in my heart? How can you still want me When there has to be a thousand faithful ones to take my place? Is this real? A final warning? Or a mistake? Is this grace? The God of Israel, the God of Jacob The God of the redeemed and the liars Is that who I am? Is that who you call me As I run head first into the fire But maybe there is more to this And maybe this is more than me How can you still use me After I’ve allowed myself to be used by everyone else? How can you still choose me When I made the choice to ignore the still small voice in my heart? How can you still want me When there has to be a thousand faithful ones to take my place? Is this real? A final warning? Or a mistake? Is this grace? I have unholy lips I have a cheating heart I have a liars tongue I have nothing (4x) How can you still use me After I’ve allowed myself to be used by everyone else? How can you still choose me When I made the choice to ignore the still small voice in my heart? How can you still want me When there has to be a thousand faithful ones to take my place? Is this real? A final warning? Or a mistake? Is this grace? credits

Be merciful to us, O Lord, be merciful. Our refuge is in you; you hold our life. In the shadow of your wings, we find our shelter until the time of trial has gone by. For you will come to save us. Your love, it will endure. This darkness will surround us no more. We will awake the dawn as we declare your praise! Here we have found our hope in Jesus' holy name. Exalt yourself, O God, above the heaven's skies, and over all the earth, the people of this world will see your glory shine! You vindicate your cause, our Great Defender, by sending forth your faithfulness and love. When we find ourselves oppressed, you are our fortress, And from your mighty hand, salvation comes! For on the cross, you saved us, and rose up from the grave. The power of darkness ended that day. So we awaken the dawn as we declare your praise! Here we have found our hope in Jesus' holy name. Exalt yourself, O God, above the heaven's skies, and over all the earth, the people of this world will see your glory shine!
